Short version: I collect your email address, I use it to send you the guide and a handful of emails after that, and I don't give it to anyone else. You can leave at any time and I delete your record.

Who is responsible

This site and its mailing list are run by the author publishing under the name Nora Fields, based in Romania. For anything on this page, write to nora@norafieldsbooks.com.

What I collect

There are no analytics on this site, no advertising pixels, and no cookies beyond what your browser needs to load the page. Nothing tracks you across other sites.

Why, and on what basis

You asked for the guide and ticked the box, so the lawful basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). I use your address to send the guide, and then occasional emails about food, habits and my books. That's all it is used for.

Where it is stored

In a private Google Sheet, and in the mailing tool I use to send the emails. Those providers process the data on my behalf and under their own safeguards for international transfers. I don't sell, rent, share or trade your address with anyone, for any reason.

How long

Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask me to delete it. If you never open anything for two years, I remove you anyway — there's no point holding an address nobody reads.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable file. You can withdraw consent whenever you like — every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. Write to nora@norafieldsbooks.com and I'll handle it within 30 days, usually the same week.

If you think I've handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't for anyone under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, I'll say so in an email rather than quietly editing it here.
